In the name of...zzz...
Okay, so besides having a blast watching some kids last weekend (which I will blog about later once Ryan comes back into town with the camera...), there has been ONE interesting event in my life. Yes, only ONE. It happened on June 3, 2010 at approximately 6:55 a.m. I am just going to copy and paste the story that I e-mailed to a friend that morning. I hope all 2 of my readers enjoy it. If you don't, at least I have this typed and preserved for future reference. :)
Okay, so every morning for years, before anyone leaves the house (early morning seminary, people leaving for work, etc.), the whole household is woken up so that we can all be together for our morning family prayer. Ryan is THE hardest to get out of bed to pray. It usually takes like 3-5 minutes for us to get him to come into the living room. Well, this morning, I had to go to work and I got Mom and Dad to wake the other two kids up. When I went to the living room, mom exclaimed, "Wow, Ryan sat up on the first try of me waking him up!" We both laughed at what we thought was a miracle. So he comes in, and we tell him it's his turn to pray because he's never home so he needs to pray when he is! So he begins. He mumbles as usual (we all do sometimes-it's early!), but then he starts praying that we'll "have a good night" instead of day. He also mentioned something about asking that we'll be safe "tonight". I chuckled inside. WELL, then, he just stops talking. I open my eyes and bust out laughing. Mom hits me. I keep laughing and say, "Guys, he fell asleep mid sentence!" And he did. We were all laughing hard by now. Dad was trying to compose himself to wake Ryan up. He shakes Ryan til he wakes up and Ryan says, "What?!" Dad tells him he fell asleep mid-prayer. Ryan says, "Um, I don't think I was ever awake. I don't remember anything." And he goes back to bed. Best morning ever!!
I laughed the whole way to work. And everytime I think about it, it brings a smile back to my face. Good day.
